I played with Metal to create a tap incremental game
Live stream where I tried programming Metal for the first time to create a game.
On the latest live stream I decided to do something totally new to me, programming using Apple’s Metal framework to create a game.
Give than I was less than impressed with SpriteKit over the years, I decided it was time to give metal a spin (or a polish?).
So the idea was simple, create a tap to increment game. Who knew the deeps of Swift code it would take me to just to make that happen.
But, it worked and I can appreciate the power of metal even if the set-up is more than you would expect.
p.s. yes, the idea was to use A.I. to overcome my lack of Metal programming knowledge. That was until someone in the chatroom redeemed points to ban me from using A.I.
