How to fix the Canon EOS M50 HDMI 30 minute shutdown

I love my Canon EOS M50. It is a great camera and has become my go-to for Webcam usage on live streams and conference calls.

But it has a problem, a built-in problem. After 30 minutes of using the HDMI out, it will shut down. This is by design, apparently, but that isn't very pleasant when you stream for a couple of hours every time.

So after much research, I found a simple solution that works.

All you need to do is have the Canon EOS Utilities 3 app running on your machine, and it will keep the signal alive for as long as you need it. I guess it works since you can use the tethered and remote shooting app.
