Lessons Learned From Live Streaming Tests

I did what I said I would this week and started streaming video. These were primarily tests to check that everything worked as expected and as I understood the process.

For the tests, I streamed my gameplay of Diablo III, a popular game on many platforms. I decided to stream from my PC.

If you want to see the streams, you can check them out on my YouTube and Twitch.tv channels.

The lessons I learned taught me a lot and gave me enough information to improve. Listen to the episode for all the details, plus a sneak at an idea for a new series of topics.

An extra technical note here. If you use a Canon EOS M50 as your stream camera like me, you have probably noticed that it turns off automatically after 30 minutes. This is by design.

I have a post here on how to fix that so it stays on for as long as needed.
